What is a B+ Category license?
Category B+ is a kind of driving licence that permits you to drive with a semi-trailer or trailer. This licence is only available to drivers who are aged 18 or older and whose trailer or vehicle have a maximum allowed mass (MAM1) of not more than 3,500 kg. Category B+ is a great option for those who wish to to drive larger cars, but do not want to pass the more rigorous Class A CDL test.
State-specific requirements differ, but include a noncommercial copyright as well as passing a medical examination. In a few EEA Member States, drivers who have passed the category B driving test are exempt from having to pass the category BE driving test and can therefore tow a trailer with the maximum authorized weight of up to 12,000 kg in their category B licence. This exemption is recorded by an indication on the registration certificate of the vehicle.
The qualifications to get the class B CDL depend on the state you reside in and state, but typically include a clean driving record as well as passing a medical test. What are the prerequisites to obtain a category B+ license?

If you want to drive across state lines or transport hazardous materials, you'll need an endorsement for that.
Contrary to other licenses for driving A category B+ copyright is valid for five years. However, you could be required to pass additional medical tests or other tests to renew your license. Some countries also require drivers to complete specific training prior to being able to start driving certain kinds of vehicles.
The definition of a category B+ vehicle is very like a category B license that is normally issued. A category B+ vehicle is any large truck that has a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more but does not include a tractor/semi-trailer. This includes fire trucks of large size cement mixers, delivery trucks. Typically, these trucks have an maximum capacity of 85,000 pounds.
To obtain a category-B+ copyright, you will be required to pass the driving test for a car of category B with a tow trailer whose maximum allowed mass is not more than 3500 kilograms. This is a requirement for Norway and EEA member states, with the exceptions of Denmark.
If you pass the driver's test in a category-B vehicle before 19th January 2013, your copyright will automatically be upgraded to include the full category B+E entitlement. You'll still need to take a separate test in subcategories D1+E or C1+E in order to drive any vehicle that is larger than the category B vehicle. This includes vehicles that tow or carry passengers.
Where can I get a category B+ license?
If you hold a category B copyright you are able to drive motor vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes in mass. This includes trailers that weigh up to 750 kg. You can also drive a vehicle and trailer combination with a MAM that is up to 8,250 kg provided that the total MAM is not more than 12,000 kg.
You can get category B+ added to your licence if you pass a driving test that is for the type of vehicle you want to drive. This can be done by completing the form D2 and submitting it to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. You can also get categories added to your license automatically. For instance, if you pass the car driving test you will be issued a full category C1+E licence. If you pass the bus or coach driving exam and pass the test, you will receive a category E licence.

What is the cost to obtain a category B+ license?
A class B+ license is a good alternative for truck drivers who are looking to begin with something less intimidating than a Class A CDL. This license allows you to drive any single-unit car that is permitted for a Class E driver, including buses and vehicles that have a gross weight rating (GVWR) that is at least 26,001 pounds (depending on restrictions). This is an excellent alternative for truckers who wish to start small but eventually expand their load.
You must meet minimum requirements in your state to be eligible for a category B+ licence. This usually includes having a high-school diploma or GED, having a good driving record and passing the Department of Transportation's medical test. You must also be 18 years old to be eligible for the category B+ license. However, certain states have more age requirements.
